A unique place in the Eastern Sayan mountains which is also called “The Valley of Hundred Springs”. 118 sources of mineral water, differing in chemical composition and temperature, is located here. Shumak’s waters are similar to the waters of Pyatigorsk, Kislovodsk, Tsqaltubo, Naftusi, Belokurikha and Yamkun. This place is considered a “wild” resort. A Buddhist dugan, sauna, bath house, about 20 winter huts, camping sites and a helicopter landing pad are all located here. One of its main attractions is a local national open-air museum, another attraction is the waterfall on the river Shumak.
