Cape Turali

1 d.
Warm season

A high rocky cape overgrown with centuries-old trees - cedar, fir, spruce - is located in the north-eastern part of the Baikal coast, 6 kilometers away from Khakus. Its name – Turali - is of Evenki origin, and is literally translated as “rattling, singing sand”. Moreover here is located another natural sightseeing – Rock Papakha. However, you have to visit this place for one more natural phenomena - bottle larch. Dahurian larch - a bottle-thickening crust at the bottom of the barrel also grows on Lake Baikal. Some trees even grow to be 300 years old. The same larches are growing on Ushkany Islands, but it is difficult to get there than Turali.
